What is an Ebook?

An ebook is a book in an electronic format and can take the form of, among others:

• A downloadable file in PDF or other format. The book's format should be clearly specified in the book's description.
• An access code that will provide access to an online version of the book, sometimes for a specified, limited period of time.

AbeBooks' Bookseller Policy requires that all ebooks be accurately described as such, by the inclusion of the phrase, "This is an ebook," in the book's description.

Important Note:

AbeBooks' Bookseller Policy allows booksellers to have a 'final sale' policy on ebooks, as long as the description includes the following: "This is an ebook. All sales final." This means that the seller is permitted to refuse any return or refund request for any ebook purchased. Please read the book's description carefully before ordering to make yourself aware of whether or not this policy applies and order only if such a policy is acceptable to you.

AbeBooks will not offer a refund on behalf of any bookseller who has such a policy in place.
