How to Create Your AbeBooks Account
To create a free account on our North American web site: 1. Go to our homepage at www.abebooks.com. 2. Click the [Sign On] icon located above the red banner at the top of the page. You will now be at the Sign On page. Complete all of the fields in the Create a New Account section. 1. Enter your email address and a password you will easily remember. You will need to enter your password twice. 2. Read the Customer Agreement and click in the [I Agree] radio button at the bottom of the page. 3. Check the ‘Yes’ box to indicate that you would like to receive our monthly newsletter. 4. Click on the [Create Account] button at the bottom of the page to submit your application.
You will now be at the Your Account page, where you can enter shipping information, credit card details, and currency preferences. You can also update your email address and password, if you wish. 1. Click [Your Personal Information]. 2. Click [Update Your Account Information].
Shipping Information:
You may choose to enter your address so that every time you sign on to order a book, your shipping address will be filled in automatically. You can choose your Currency Preference from the drop-down list to have your search results displayed in your chosen currency. (The currency option is for display purposes only - all AbeBooks.com purchases are charged in US dollars.) Click the [Save] button at the bottom of the page.
