Updating Your Account Information

To change the information you entered about yourself when you first created your AbeBooks account, please follow the simple steps below. These instructions can be used to update your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, and currency and language preferences.  

Note: If you have not yet created an AbeBooks account, please see Your AbeBooks Account.

1. Sign on to your AbeBooks account with your email address and password. 

2. From the Members Menu, click [Your Personal Information].  

3. Click [Update your account information].  

4. Make any changes you require.  

5. Click [Update Details] to submit your changes. 

You'll see a Success! message as soon as we've saved the change. 

Shopping Basket Address Book:

1.   Sign on to your AbeBooks account. 

2. Search for a book and add it to your basket. 

3. Click the [Proceed to Checkout] button. 

4. Select a credit card payment method from the drop-down list and click the [Save & Continue] button. 

5. Enter your credit card details on the top half of the Payment Details screen. 

6. If you've saved a billing address in the past, select it from the [Billing Address] drop-down list.  If not, enter your billing address in the fields provided. 

7. Select the [Use as shipping address] or [Make this my preferred shipping address] check boxes if either of these options apply. Click the [Save & Continue] button. 

8. If your shipping address is different from the billing address on this order, click the [Edit] button to either add a new address or select one you've previously saved. 

9. On the Address Book page, do one of the following: 

• Click a [Use this Address] button to select one of your saved addresses as the shipping address. 

• Scroll down the page and enter a new address. Then, select [Use this Address]. 

• You can also use the [Delete] option to remove any saved addresses that you no longer require.
