Why Was My Order Cancelled?
(Click here if your credit card was declined.) AbeBooks requires high completion rates of our booksellers so that we can prevent as many cancellations as possible. We and our booksellers are committed to providing you with great customer service. Usually, an order is cancelled because the book was sold to another customer in the seller's walk-in store or on another web site. Larger booksellers may also experience logistics issues in warehouses or storage centers. If you'd like more information, simply sign on to your AbeBooks account to send the bookseller a question. To view your order's status or ask the bookseller about your order: 1. Sign on to your AbeBooks account using your email address and password. We ask that you use our online system, rather than your own email program, for sending these messages so that we have record of them in case we need to follow up later on.
Order Statuses Explained:
Unknown - occasionally, two buyers will be in the process of ordering the same book at the same time. The first one submitted will result in a successfully placed order, making the book unavailable to the second buyer. This will result in an 'Unknown' status, which means the book was unavailable at the time of purchase and the order is cancelled. |
