About Alabaster Bookshop

We are an open bookshop on Fourth Avenue in Manhattan- what was once known as "Book Row". We carry books in all categories but tend to be more focused on literature and the arts.

Bookstore Terms

Shipping: $4.00 for the first book, $1.00 per book thereafter. Priority mail $6.00. Oversized books and shipping overseas additional -- Global Priority for books 4 lbs and under, $12. Visa, Mastercard, and Amex accepted as well as check or money order. Please include the BILLING address for your credit card in addition to the shipping address (if they are not the same).

Shipping Terms:

Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized extra shipping may be required. We now add insurance for orders over $75.00, it is a minimal amount but protects both of us.
