Welcome to Pegasus and Pendragon Books. Come visit us in the real world! We are three bookstores in Berkeley and Oakland, California and have been serving our communities for the last thirty years. We carry a wide selection of new, used and remainder books, for readers of all ages, a dazzling array of magazines, and some of the most beautiful art cards available. At our Pegasus stores, in Berkeley, we also carry new and used cds. While we ourselves appreciate shopping in the kind of bookstore that has dark musty corners and towering piles of tomes, we like working in a more ordered space, and so you will find our shelves well organized, alphabetized, and the books themselves in excellent condition. We acquire books from all over the country, and even travel twice a year to England to find interesting and unusual titles. Our staff are all exceedingly competent generalists, and while we specialize in literature, children's books, cookbooks, metaphysics and psychology, we carry a fine array of books in nearly every other category as well. Come in for some great music, sterling book recommendations and for a friendly literary atmosphere. About our rare books Our specialty is in used books and we have been buying and selling quality used books for decades.
