The Bear Bookshop was established in 1975 in Brattleboro, Vermont, and moved with the owner to Marlboro, Vermont in 1976. For the next quarter of a century, the Bear Bookshop operated as a shop open to the public during warm weather. A few years ago, the open shop closed, and the store now operates solely on the internet.
We stock approximately 25,000 volumes of used and rate books in all subject areas, with heavy concentrations on academic subject matters.

We accept Paypal,checks and money orders in US $ only.
The Bear Bookshop charges $5.00 shipping and handling for the first volume, and
$1.50 for each additional volume in the United States. We generally ship by U.S. Postal Service special standard mail rate (book rate). We charge $6.50 for priority mail. Please specify which service you prefer when ordering.
For international customers, we charge $15 and ship global priority mail or 1st class mail.
