About The Book House (PBFA)
The Book House is a family business which has been selling books since 1963. From 1984 it has been based in Cumbria and has recently moved from Ravenstonedale to Brough, on the A66 trunk road between Scotch Corner and Penrith. Our new shop is in Grand Prix Buildings, at the north (Penrith) end of the main street - normally there will be one or more of the Grand Prix buses in the yard. Our shop is towards the left-hand end of the block, with brown wooden door. Plenty of parking on site. Open 10am-4.30pm most days except Tuesdays & Sundays, but ring first if making a special trip as we may be away at a book fair or exhibition.

All books offered for sale subject to being unsold. Payment by Mastercharge, Visa, Switch, Eurocard, Sterling cheque, Sterling bank draft, or Eurocheque made out in Sterling. Please make cheques payable to The Book House.
Post and packing extra.

Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required.
