We do not accept credit cards directly, however you may buy from us using your credit card through ABE.Com or PayPal - http://wwww.paypal.com for details. We may hold checks from first-time customers for up to 10 business days to clear, money orders ship immediately. If you purchase directly from us, shipping will be $5.50 priority postage or $3.00 book rate for the first book, $1 each additional book. Especially large or heavy shipments may be higher. International orders are shipped for $2.00 plus actual shipping charges. Domestic shipping is USPS; please contact By the Book for other arrangements. NYS residents must pay appropriate sales tax. Gift wrapping and card provided free of charge upon request. We sell gift certificates in any amount.

Return policy: Any book may be returned by the original purchaser for a refund of the original purchase price within 14 days of purchase, as long as the book is in the same condition as originally shipped, and buyer notifies By the Book before returning. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs on returns. After 14 days, books may be returned for store credit under the same conditions as above.
