OUR BUSINESS

HIGHBROW BOOKS has been a Winnipeg business since 1984 and a bookseller on line with Advanced Book Exchange since 1998. The proprietor is Les Mundwiler. He is in his middle years and snarly and has acquired some of that crust which has always been essential to the trade. Although the list emphasizes history and social sciences, he has a warm spot in his heart for the generalist and persists in trying to persuade specialists and collectors to take up other interests. With the steady 'dumbing down' of North America, he is optimistic that a highbrow response cannot be far off.

OUR TERMS

DESCRIPTIONS: Descriptions are concise. Unless otherwise stated, place
of publication is USA, format is octavo (8vo) and
hardcover, condition is very good (VG), and, if the item
has been published since 1920, it has no dustjacket (dj).

RETURNS: In the unusual event that may befall, a full refund of
the order's cost will be given for a significant and
credible error in an item's description. This refund must be
applied for within thirty days of my shipment date.

ORDERING: If you are ordering directly from me, please do not send payment until order is confirmed.

PAYMENT: All credit-card orders are transacted via the Advanced Book Exchange website. Payment may also be made by cheque or money order (in US funds) and should be made payable to: Highbrow Books.

POSTAGE ETC.: Shipping charges follow the profile of default shipping charges for ABE credit-card orders. Special charges for heavy items or for orders of more than one volume may be negotiated.
