Our shop, Books at Croton River in Croton Falls, NY is located 1 1/4 hours north of New York City, near the Connecticut border in northern Westchester County. Our shop is in a turn-of-the-century stone building alongside the Croton River, accessed to Route 22 via a pedestrian bridge. Our stock includes good used books at low prices, new university presses at less than half-price, and a selection of antiquarian and modern firsts. We're open weekend hours, and we now accept VISA/Mastercard. Virtually every subject is represented (including a terrific selection of art books at discount, literature, social sciences & the humanities), plus special sections on irish studies, George Gissing, and an-indepth collection of Italian literature in translation.
