Established in 1986, Lowry-James Rare Prints & Books offers a discriminating selection of rare original hand-colored engravings, lithographs and rare books from The Age of Discovery, encompassing Horticulture, Natural History, Travel and Cartography from the sixteenth through the nineteenth centuries. We feature the original work by the celebrated naturalist John James Audubon, as well as the Pacific Northwest’s finest collection of antique natural history and botanical prints. In addition, we offer distinctive nineteenth and early twentieth Century literature, featuring by Louisa May Alcott, the Brontes, Willa Cather, Isak Dinesen, Thomas Hardy and Rockwell Kent. We also stock a fine offering of first printings of the King Penguin Books, and the Britain in Pictures series. Our inventory extends well beyond our website, so if you are seeking a particular image or title, please inquire. We accept Master Card, Visa, American Express, Pay Pal, checks and money orders. Institutions are billed to meet individual specifications. All books are offered subject to prior sale. All books are guaranteed as described. Returns will be honored within 7 days of receipt if books are not as described. PLEASE NOTE: Notification of return to Lowry-James is required via phone or email. The return postage is the customer's responsibility.
Shipping Terms:
All orders are processed promptly, within 24 hours. Every order is professionally packaged, and shipped, fully insured, via US Postal Service. We charge $8.50 to ship one book, and $2.00 for each additional item. International shipping charges are $15.00 for the first item, $2.00 for each additional item. For matted prints, up to 16 x 20 inches, we charge $20.00 to pack and ship. Insurance is additional on all items.
