OUR BUSINESS

Member of Midwest Bookhunters

Located in the heart of historic downtown Springfield, Prairie Archives has been
serving Central Illinois since 1973. We have occupied three locations since our
founding and our current store has been located at 522 E. Adams since 1992. We
have approximately 250,000 books in stock, a selection of CDs, cassettes and
vinyl, posters, prints, comics, collectibles, magazines, political buttons,
postcards and lots more!

If you don't see a title you're looking for, please feel free to inquire; only
a small part of our stock is catalogued.

Our store hours are 10-5 Central time Monday through Saturday.

We also carry a line of t-shirts, including the ever-popular "Abraham Lincoln:
They'd have to shoot me to get me back to Springfield" and "Frank Lloyd Wright:
I can design a building that would look good even in Springfield". Please
inquire about our other designs, sizes and prices.

A selection of our maps is now online. To see the listings, please select the
Browse Our Inventory option below, and select the Maps category. The publisher
name is listed in the author field. Please inquire if the map you're looking
for isn't listed, as only a small part of our inventory is catalogued.

And of course, we can't leave without mentioning Hannah, our golden retriever.
She has run things here since she was a puppy; she brings more business to the
shop than anyone else. Always friendly, cheerful, and affectionate (especially
when someone has food!)

Hannah says "Come See Us!"
