Clent Books of Bewdley
|
|

| Ivor and Mary Simpson Clent Books of Bewdley, established in 1977. Private premises. By mail order only. I have been in the book selling business for 29 years, and our homebased location is in the Georgian riverside town of Bewdley in the County of Worcestershire. Our first venture into bookselling was at a Sunday market in Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire - famous for the church with the crooked steeple, and the author-postman Simon Evans. We then moved to a Saturday market in Bewdley. In the same year I opened a bookshop in Halesowen in the West Midlands. When the shop lease ended after 15 years, I decided to semi-retire, and just do the occasional Book Fair. Then in 1999 we decided to become internet booksellers. |
