About ill-advised art / art metzger books
Starting out in 1969 with a small mail order business from my home, I've been in the book business one way or another ever since that time. I've managed an antiquarian bookstore, a comics store, worked for 14 years at Barnes & Noble, as well as working in the stacks of a public library for several years. I now sell online out of my home; and, along with my partner, Michael Shuter, we have a small store within the Venice Pavilion Antique Mall in Ross, Ohio, where we sell books, records, ephemera, and more. Our stock there is, for the most part, completely separate from our online stock. The photo displayed here is from our setup at a book and paper show in Columbus, Ohio. My partner, Michael, has also been in the book business for several years, both at Barnes & Noble, and at Books of Wonder in New York. He is currently the buyer for Everybody's Records in Cincinnati.

Bookstore Terms
All books subject to prior sale. Books will be held for ten days pending arrival of payment. Checks or money orders accepted, and should be made out to Art Metzger; credit cards through ABE only. Returns accepted with prior notice.
Shipping Terms:
All books will be sent Media Mail unless otherwise requested. Base rate is $3.00 for the first book, $1.75 for each additional book. For foreign rates or Priority see shipping chart.
