About the Author:

Jerome Oetgen, a Saint Vincent alumnus, is currently a U.S. diplomat in Spain. The author of An American Abbot: Boniface Wimmer, O.S.B., he has taught at universities in the United States, Canada, the Peoples Republic of China, Lithuania and Ecuador, and has published numerous articles on the history of the American Benedictines.
