About the Author:

Gerhard Falk, has been a professor in the Dept. of Sociology, SUNY Buffalo, for 30 years. He has authored 14 books, mostly on the roles played by age, religion and gender in establishing identity within today s culture.
Ursula A. Falk s areas of specialization include Sociology of Crime, Juvenile Delinquency, Sociology of Punishment and Corrections, Social Problems, Sociology of Higher Education, Sociology of Addiction and Alcoholism.
