About the Author:
Alan Jones is the author of Early Arabic Poetry, The Jaysh Al-Tawshih of Lisan Al-Din Ibn Al-Khatib, and Romance in Kharjas in Andalusian Arabic Muwassah Poetry. He is a professor emeritus of classical Arabic at Oxford University.
