About the Author:

Nicholas Furlong was born in Wexford town. For many years he wrote a satirical column for the People Group under the pen name 'Pat O'Leary'. He was press officer for the Wexford Opera Festival between 1969 and 1982 and worked as a features broadcaster on South East Radio. He is a Life Fellow of the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland. He is now a columnist with the Echo Group and is the author of several books including the bestselling Young Farmer Seeks a Wife.
