About the Author:
Joan Raphael-Leff is a practicing psychoanalyst specializing in treating problems related to reproductivity. She is Professor of Psychoanalysis at the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex and was Chair of the International Psychoanalytical Association's Committee on Women and Psychoanalysis (1998-2001). She is author of over 60 publications and seven books, including Psychological Processes of Childbearing an Pregnancy: The Inside Story, Female Experience, and Spilt Milk: Perinatal Loss and Breakdown.
