About the Author:

Valerie Thompson is the coordinator of the Conestoga College’s Health Office Administration program. Valerie was trained as a nurse practitioner, and has been teaching nursing and health professions courses for almost twenty five years. During this time, she has also been responsible for managing her husband’s medical office.
