Review:
You and No Other begins in London in 1879 where we meet James Gray, the Earl of Graystone. He is suffering the effects of amnesia and one of his few points of memory is a reoccurring dream involving a mysterious woman in a romantic encounter. Princess Cecile of Saint-Simeon is a woman he meets first in a moonlit walk through the garden. They talk with full anominity. Later when he meets her at a ball held in her honour, their relationship takes a new turn. Cecile needs his help to find the missing royal items that Cecile's brother needs to officially become king. James, being the gallant man that he is, agrees to help. It turns out that Cecile has the same dreams as James and the reader gains this knowledge long before the two lead characters.This book is very well written, the plot is enjoyable. I just found that the characters lacked much personality. I found them very vague and bland. It left me wishing for stronger characterization in James and Cecile.
