Written in a humorous, personal style, this text offers an applied focus that comprehensively covers theory and research in industrial and organizational psychology. When appropriate, the text also emphasizes skills that the students may use in the workplace, such as how to improve the validity of checking references, how to write rejection letters, and how to conduct performance evaluations. Exercises that were formerly included in the companion workbook "Exercises for Industrial/Organizational Psychology in Action" are now included in the text to provide students with an integrated learning tool.
