Review:
"...provides a strong foundation of psychology with a wise consideration of how these concepts can lead to better personal choices. I am impressed with how the book continues to evolve, remain fresh, and relevant with each new edition. I hope this text continues to have great longevity because it has had a tremendous impact on students that I worked with over the years."
"The text is written in a straightforward fashion and incorporates vignettes and exercises so as to highlight the information and bring the focus to how the information relates to the student. This allows the student to make connections and relate the information directly to him/herself and his/her experiences."
"Speaking as one who uses this book in teaching personality development and in working individually with clients, I can confidently say that I believe it to be the best possible choice for an in-depth understanding of personality development throughout the lifespan. I believe the easy to read format and interactive questions posed at the beginning and end of each chapter, allow the reader to not only learn about life stages and theory, but to develop their own person as well."
"I NEVER KNEW I HAD A CHOICE is one of the few textbooks that students tell me they've truly enjoyed reading, and it is a pleasure to teach its material."
