"I should say, first of all, that I have absolutely no criticisms to make of this book. It is perfect, and I'm not just saying that because I practically memorized it at the age of 13 and it was one of my primary illicit sources of sexual information in the gap between information and experience, and I therefore view it with fond nostalgia....Basically this book posits a set of conditions in which the only response to the female condition is heavy sedation. Given that in its original editions it sold 19 million copies, following a gal to her predestined place in the V. of the D. was, in 1966, an activity we couldn't get enough of. Even if it's not going to be proved through equal sales this time out, I'd say the point still holds true."
