Your Satisfaction is Guaranteed:
A new translation of the autobiographical account of the author's survival as a teenager in Nazi death camps seeks to preserve the author's original intent, in a volume that includes the author's 1986 Nobel Peace Prize presentation and acceptance speeches as well as a preface on his passionate dedication to raising awareness about the human capacity for cruelty. Simultaneous.
Review:
"A slim volume of terrifying power."
New York Times
Review:"As a human document, 'Night' is almost unbearably painful, and certainly beyond criticism."

NIGHT (ISBN: 9780809073559) Wiesel, Elie Quantity Available: 1
Book Description: Hill and Wang, New York, 2006. Trade Paperback. Book Condition: Very Good. Trade Paperback Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 5th PRINTING. 120 pages. An autobiographical account by Eliezer (Eli) Wiesel--the renowned Jewish novelist, philosopher, humanitarian, political activist, Holocaust survivor and the 1986 Nobel Peace Prize laureate. The first book in the trilogy (along with DAWN and DAY), NIGHT was first published in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1955, as UN DI VELT HOT GESHVIGN [AND THE WORLD REMAINED SILENT]. Wiesel rewrote a shorter version in French, LA NUIT [NIGHT] under the advice of French novelist, François Mauriac. Even with the latter's support, Wiesel had trouble finding a publisher for the book and initially selling very few copies. Translated from the French by Marion Wiesel (Elie's wife). A very good trade pbk copy in illustrated covers. Light shelf-rubbing on its corners. Upper right corner of the front endpaper is clipped. The text is crisp, clean and sound.
