Saul Bellow -- 1st Edition 1st Printing -- VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD -- copy of Dangling Man. 8vo. 191 pp. Bound in gray cloth, with red lettering to the spine and the image of a dangling man stamped in red on the front board. Tops of the leaves are stained brown. The spine is slightly cocked and a trifle toned; the hinges are a little shaky and the gutter papers are toned, though there are no signs are starting; the rear board is just minimally soiled. In a tan dustwrapper that retains the publisher's price of $2.50 in the bottom right of the front flap, is gently rubbed, is a shade uniformly sunned on the front panel, and has been nearly imperceptibly restored at the extremities. There are no chips or tears, but the wrapper has been trimmed along the top and bottom edges, making it 7 mm. shorted than the book. A collectible copy of the author's first book.
