About the Author:
Marshall W. Fishwick, Virginia Tech - A founding father of popular culture studies in the U.S., Professor Fishwick currently teaches at Marshall University. He holds degrees from The University of Virginia and Yale University. In addition to the thirty books he has authored, Professor Fishwick spent three years in the Navy as an officer during World War II. Professor Fishwick, along with three of his colleagues founded the Popular Culture Association, a scholarly organization devoted to the study of popular culture.
