About the Author:

Jan-Mitchell Sherrill is the Senior Associate Dean of Students at George Washington University. He received his Master’s Degree at the University of North Carolina, his Bachelor’s Degree at Towson University, and his high school diploma at the McDonogh School near Baltimore, Maryland. His previous books of poetry are Blind Leading the Blind and Friend of the Groom. He has also published in venues devoted to academic administration, and, in the late 1980s, headed the team that performed a groundbreaking national study of campus violence.
