This, the second book of five in The Chronicles of the Stone, takes us into the world where the great migration canoes and the whales travelled the long tides together. Song of the Whale picks up the quest in Easter Island and carries it forward into the Islands of the Double Sea with the help of the whales. It speaks strongly of the role of the great Whale Nations, the mystery of their long journeys and how they are bound into our own story.

From the Author:
The five novels The Chronicles of the Stone, go back to the ancient migration trails which the world is only now beginning to understand. Land and sea trails that spanned the planets thousands of years ago.
About the Author:
Barry Brailsford shares insights into ancient prophecies and marries science and sacred lore to bring us to the promise of a new dawn. Barry Brailsford is a NEW ZEALAND Author, historian, archaeologist, and master storyteller. Barrys first books, written in the 1980s, were highly successful in his homeland and became standard texts in universities and schools. Historical and archaeological, The Tattooed Land and Greenstone Trails look at the life of the South Island Maori to tell the story of the land, the people and the stone. His work brought him recognition in the form of an MBE (Member of the British Empire) conferred by Queen Elizabeth II in 1990. Since then Barry has left the academic world to pursue his great love of writing and telling stories. In 1990 he was invited to write the story of the pre-Maori people of New Zealand, called Waitaha, who stored their story and their sacred lore in oral tradition for over 2000 years. This request resulted in Song of Waitaha. Writing Song of Waitaha changed Barrys life. He had been taken into the old schools of learning and gifted much that was sacred to Waitaha. There the mystic was revealed.
