Is US access to Panama Canal in jeopardy?

Under the terms of the Panama Canal Treaty (implemented 1977), the US hands over control of the Canal at the stroke of midnight on December 31, 1999. In preparation for this hand over, the Panamanian government has now leased the two most important ports -- one on each side of the canal -- to a company with strong political and commercial ties to Communist China. Doesn't this threaten US national security and economic interests? This story needs to be told NOW, before it's too late.

About the Author:
G. Russell Evans has studied Panama since the 1964 Flag Riots. His essays, books and speeches have long warned of fraud in the 1977 Carter-Torrijos Canal Treaties.

Capt. Evans is a retired Coast Guard officer, graduate of the Coast Guard Academy and Naval War College, and a veteran of many rescues at sea. He currently lives with his wife in Norfolk, Virginia.

Review:
Captain G. Russell Evans has been a prophet warning about the dire consequences to US economic and security interests if the giveaway of US property at the Panama Canal goes through as planned. This book demolishes every argument put forward by the appeasers and gives the lie to arm-chair conservative and GOP "leaders" who take donations of grassroots conservatives but do little or nothing to change the policy of the ruling elites of Panama and the United States--policies which are indeed sounding the "death knell" of that eighth wonder of the world, the American-built Panama Canal. -- Richard A. Delgaudio, President, National Security Center

This book should be must reading for every citizen concerned with the security, prosperity, and world image of the United States. It relates in detail just how the Panama Canal Treaties came into being and what impact these unconstitutional Treaties have had and will have on the future of our country. There's plenty here the public should know, particularly after the incursion into Panama by that budding maritime super power, Communist China, as is detailed in this book. -- Admiral Thomas H. Moorer, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, from the introduction
