About the Author:
Dr. Joseph began his career in the 1970s by publishing major, ground breaking discoveries in the neurosciences, including the ability of primate brain cells to regenerate and recover function (neuroplasticity), the fact that brain cells compete for functional representation, the hormonal basis of sex differences, and the role of the early environment in learning and memory. In the 1980s Dr. Joseph continued to publish revolutionary discoveries and was considered by many to be the "father" of developmental neuropschology, and one of the greatest neuroscientists of all time.
