About the Author:

Ravi Shekhar Narain Singh is an alumnus of the Rashtriya Indian Military College and the National Defence Academy. He was commissioned into the Indian Army (5th Battalion, Bihar Regiment) in December 1982. He is also a graduate of the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. He undertook military and strategic analysis during his tenure with Army Headquarters and subsequently the Cabinet Secretariat. R.S.N. Singh is currently a Visiting Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) and is the associate editor of Indian Defence Review. He is the author of two internationally acclaimed books Asian Strategic and Military Perspective and The Unmaking of Nepal.
