From the Author:
This book is unabashedly inspired by one of my all time favorites: Loren Coleman's Mysterious America. So I think it's safe to say if you liked that book, you will like this one. And, you actually get three books in one to some degree. Part I offers a detailed history on various aspects of the Roswell UFO crash, from differing crash sites to surviving aliens and even a rarely discussed "second Roswell UFO crash" in 1949. Part II details strange stories from Roswell not connected to the UFO crash, such as strange creatures glimpsed in Bottomless Lakes, various ghosts and even a sighting of a "Colorado River Dinosaur" near the Berrendo River. Part III is where the book derives its title from, Roswell, USA. After the massive success of the 50th Anniversary of the Roswell Incident in 1997, I had always felt many other towns across America took note of Roswell's success in promoting such a strange event. For the most part I was right, many towns like Point Pleasant, WV, took note and began promoting things like Mothman, while a few other towns like Fouke, AR, actually predated Roswell as they were celebrating Bigfoot all the way back in the 1970s! So if you love UFOs, aliens, Bigfoot or Lake Monsters I sincerely hope you enjoy the book.
