I am not aware of any other book comparable to this one on this particular subject. If you are planning to do PDT, you definitely need to read this book.

The best aspect of this book it that you will be able to confidently administer PDT in your office after reading it. Techniques for applying Levulan, the different light sources one can purchase to activate it, side-effects, patient instructions, and dosimetry protocols are included in multiple tables. I would have liked a discussion on what light sources would be reasonable to buy based on cost, size, and ease of use. Some of the devices looked rather large and one may need to devote one exam room to administer the treatment. There are good color photographs of before and immediately after treatment, and step-by-step photos of how to treat a wart with PDT.
