About the Author:
Archie Coulter has spent the last 36 years at sea in the merchant navy starting as deck cadet in 1969 and rising to the rank of master in 1991, the rank he has held for the last 16 years. During this long sea career he traded between Japan and West Africa between 1981 and 1992. This was where he first encountered modern day piracy and got the idea to write a book on this subject. He was born in Scotland, grew up in the Isle of Man, lived in Spain for 8 years and now resides in Cheshire England.
