From the Author:
I worked as a career banker all my working life in Canada. In 2005 I was promoted and informed that my new office would be downtown. I hadalways worked in the suburbs so I was not looking forward to the commute. Onecrisp autumn morning, after exiting the train, I walked briskly up UniversityAvenue to my office. I noticed a tiny park next door to a large courthouse. Thecrab apple trees in the park had lost all their leaves. It was a beauty to seethe slender branches covered with thousands of little, ripe crab apples. Somewere strewn on the ground. A gang of squirrels were frolicking and having agood time feasting on the crab apples. Suddenly, an idea came to me. Write achildren's book about squirrels living in a city! The next day, equipped withmy camera, I stopped at the park and took pictures of the crab apple trees andthe squirrels. They were still feasting there! The pictures providedinspiration to concoct some delightful squirrel stories. Nosey Charlie Goes toCourt is book # 2 in the Nosey Charlie Adventure Series. It demonstrates how citylife fascinates Charlie and how curiosity gets the better of him.
