In two square panels per mass--market--paperback-size page, an elderly man breakfasts, writes a letter to "Elenore," dons his best clothes, takes a stack of similar letters with him when he drives to a florist, selects a fresh bouquet, and proceeds to a cemetery and, seen by only a mother and toddler, a grave whose stone reads, "Elenore." This is the last time he'll do all this.
