About the Author:

Edward L. Machtinger, MD, is a Professor of Medicine and the Director of the Women’s HIV Program at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF).
 
Peter A. Nigrovic, MD, is Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an adult and pediatric rheumatologist at Boston Children’s Hospital and at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital, where he directs the Center for Adults with Pediatric Rheumatic Illness (CAPRI). He has practiced clinical medicine in the immigrant community of Chelsea, Massachusetts, and in Guatemala. 
 
Janice A. Lowe, MD, is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Stanford University School Medicine.

Spanish for Pediatric Medicine is by far the most impressive resource available to pediatricians that I have found, and in the program we're developing we plan on using it as our main resource for residents seeking to learn or improve their medical Spanish. I'm particularly excited about the inclusion of the new electronic version and its' autio component that assists the learner with not only vocabulary acquisition but also pronunciation skills.
