I wondered how it would be to walk in Rowena's shoes and not know the past, yet long to find out who I was and where the ring came from; and what was connected to it. I imagined trying to work it out by tracing what little I knew of my past and discover how to go about it. As I delved into the book, I became excited as to where I was going as Rowena, and I was anxious to get on with it. As with the other books I have written, the creative process opened up a whole new world to me.
