About the Author:

A native of Ohio, Victoria Sherrow attended Ohio State University, Ohio State College of Law, the Writer's Institute at Fairfield University in Connecticut, and the University of California at Los Angeles, where she studied children's literature. A full-time writer since 1979, Ms. Sherrow has worked as an editorial assistant for the Westport Publishing Group and currently serves on the faculty of the Institute of Children's Literature. She has published over twenty-five books and many short stories and articles for children, including titles concerned with nature. She lives with her husband and three children in Westport, Connecticut.
