The captivating Sara is a shape-shifter whose talents go beyond the realm of human, and into the life of Chase Dagger, a detective whose past is so dark it's pitch black. Several cases are linked by a bizarre common denominator: none of the surveillance cameras reveal the assailant. Sergeant Padre Martinez believes the assailant is an old nemesis, a computer savvy ex-con. When the bodies of a research scientist and his wife are discovered, things get complicated. Exactly what was the scientist working on and what connection does he have to the other cases?
