About the Author:

Richard Parker was destined for success: He was the youngest broker in the Lakeland, FL Board of Real Estate history in the 1970s. In the 1980s, he was the Outstanding Jaycee in America and 1st place winner of the U.S. Jaycee s formal speaking competition. In the 1990s, Richard built a 68-office financial planning firm, and took it public, before retiring from the industry in 2003. In the 2000s Richard became a much sought-after speaker, trainer, author and coach to America s business community. He also founded Educational Seminars of America, a firm dedicated to providing proven strategies and tools to help financial professionals grow their planning practice. Richard is the author of 8 books, including Cuba A Story of Revival, a book designed to raise funds to build churches throughout Cuba, in memory of his two-and a-half year old grandson, Josh, who died suddenly over night of undetermined cause. Richard has also written The Tunnel of Time, a children's book, which he co-authored with his twelve-year old granddaughter, Brittney Cole. Following his highly successful 20 year career in the financial services industry, Richard wrote one book for the general public, Journey To Wealth, a practical how-to guide to help American families better manage their money and properly prepare for retirement, and two books for financial representatives, The Perfect Practice a comprehensive step-by-step guide to building the perfect financial planning practice, and The Sales Process, a book and three CD set developed to assist financial advisors increase their closing ratio and thus maximize their planning practice. Richard has also written Retire & Stay Retired, Enjoying the RV Lifestyle, a guide book for full-time RV enthusiasts to be wise stewards of their retirement funds. Richard is a member of the National Speakers Association (NSA), Central Florida chapter, and has shared the stage with Zig Ziglar, Art Linkletter, Dr. Normal Vincent Peal and NSA Founder, Cavett Robert. A fifth generation Floridian, Richard and wife, Joan have two married sons, Wayne and his wife, Melissa, parents of McKenna, and Shane and his wife, Gale, parents of Brittney and Beau. He resides in Melbourne Beach Florida.
