Paula Denton, EdD, began teaching children in 1982 and working as a Responsive Classroom consulting teacher in 1990. She later managed program development at Center for Responsive Schools (then called Northeast Foundation for Children). Roxann Kriete taught at both the elementary and secondary levels during her thirty-five-year career in education. She began working at Center for Responsive Schools in 1985, retiring in 2011 after serving for ten years as the organization's executive director.About the Author:
