The Human Resource Certification Preparation Program was first published in 1995 by HRCP, L.C. The program was designed to provide a comprehensive and affordable alternative for HR managers preparing for HR certification. The HRCP program is updated annually based on the HRCI (Human Resource Certification Institute) test specifications for the PHR (Professional in Human Resources) and SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification exams.
The Human Resource Certification Preparation Program features six units, one covering each functional area of the exam:
Unit 1: Strategic Management
Unit 2: Workforce Planning and Employment
Unit 3: Human Resource Development
Unit 4: Total Rewards
Unit 5: Employee and Labor Relations
Unit 6: Risk Management
Each unit is bound separately and includes an index and a list of key terms. Along with over seven-hundred pages of instruction, the program provides access to an online Self-Study Guide, which includes a guide to successful exam preparation, online review questions for each unit (300 questions total), and an online comprehensive, one-hundred question practice exam.
