The door screens are woven by a particular community known as 'Rangani' at a village called 'Dhalapathar' which situates about sixty kilometers from the state capital of Odisha state. The technique of weaving of the door screen is unique and not seen in any other places of India. The technique enables the weaver to create very large unit design on the center of the door screen without the use of jacquard or Jala which at least would require 600 hooks jacquard machine to weave.
