В монографии приведены результаты теоретического и экспериментального исследования равновесия высокоэластичных оболочек при больших деформациях. Уравнения равновесия для безмоментной оболочки, изготовленной из несжимаемого изотропного нелинейно-упругого материала, выведены из вариационного принципа стационарности потенциальной энергии. Приведены условия, при которых двумерная задача статики сводится к системе обыкновенных дифференциальных уравнений. Исследовано напряжённо-деформированное состояние некоторых классов оболочек вращения при осесимметричных деформациях для различных моделей материалов. Представлены результаты экспериментального исследования торообразной оболочки, изготовленной из резины. Исследована задача чистого изгиба цилиндрической оболочки, нагруженной внутренним давлением. На основе численного расчёта показано существование критической изгибной нагрузки и оценено влияние внутреннего давления на деформацию оболочки и изгибающие моменты. Предложены простые приближённые формулы расчёта критических нагрузок и деформаций. Книга может быть интересна студентам, аспирантам и специалистам по нелинейной теории оболочек.
