About the Author:

Aaron Wildavsky (1930-1993) served as professor of political science and public policy at the University of California, Berkeley. Wildavsky was president of the American Political Science Association and the Russel Sage Foundation, and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the National Academy of Public Administration, and the Center for Advanced Study in Behavioral Sciences. He wrote 39 books, including seminar works on budgetary process, policy analysis, political culture, public administration, and comparative government.
