As an object, it comprises 384 pages, three essays and seven historical chronicles about seven Mexican liberals of the 19th century. It is fragmented in shape, its style already known. We would be lying if we said this is a rigorous work: it does not theorize or offer any wise readings on liberalism, neither is it the product of thorough historical research. Instead of fussing over an age and an ideology, this book sculpts the tiny figures of seven Mexican notables. That is its purpose: to increase the museum's archive with a handful of bronzed heroic figurines, not realistic but exemplary, and lacking any defects.
