About the Author:

Wong Chian Voen is a manager at WCI Consulting Pte Ltd Singapore. Ms Wong is very familiar with free trade agreements (FTAs) and is a technical expert on rules of origin and customs matters. She assists clients on issues relating to application of FTAs to their business operations and strategies, as well as on other trade-related matters. Formerly an Assistant Director at the Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry and an Assistant Manager at the International Enterprise Singapore, Ms Wong was heavily involved in Singapore’s FTA negotiations, in the areas of rules of origin and customs cooperation, with New Zealand, Japan, the United States and Mexico.
